Privacy Policy.
How WizVerge handles information from people who visit this website or get in touch with us. Written in plain English, because a policy nobody can read protects nobody.
Last updated: 6 September 2026
1. Who we are
WizVerge is a digital services company. We build websites, e-commerce stores, AI automation systems, and manage social media accounts for businesses. This policy covers the website you are reading and any enquiry you send through it. You can reach us at contact@wizverge.com about anything in this policy, including a request to see or delete your data.
2. What we collect, and only that
When you use the contact form, we collect the name, email address, and message you type in, along with the service you select. If you choose to fill them in, we also collect your phone number, company name, and website address — those four fields are optional and the form works without them. That is all the form asks for and all it sends.
Alongside each message, our server stores a one-way scrambled version of your IP address. It cannot be turned back into your real address. We use it only to stop the same source flooding the form with spam. We do not store your raw IP address in our database.
Our hosting provider keeps standard server logs, which include IP addresses, browser type and the pages requested. These are generated automatically by the web server, are used for security and troubleshooting, and are removed on the provider's normal schedule.
If you email us directly, we hold that email and your address in our mailbox so we can reply and keep a record of the work discussed.
We do not collect payment card details on this website. We do not ask for your address, phone number, date of birth, or any identity document to make an enquiry.
3. What we do not do
We do not sell your information. We do not rent, trade or share it for anyone else's marketing. We do not build advertising profiles. We do not add you to a mailing list because you sent an enquiry, and we do not send marketing emails unless you have asked us to. We do not run advertising trackers or third-party analytics scripts on this site.
4. Cookies and tracking
This website sets no cookies of its own. There is no analytics script, no advertising pixel, no session cookie and no local storage of your personal data. Nothing about your visit is stored in your browser by us, which is why you will never see a cookie banner here.
The one external request the site makes is to Google Fonts, which supplies the two typefaces the site is set in. When your browser fetches a font, Google receives the request, including your IP address, in the same way any website request works. Google's handling of that is covered by their own privacy policy. Nothing else on this site loads from a third party.
5. Why we are allowed to hold it
We hold contact form data because you chose to send it to us and expect a reply — that is our legitimate interest in responding to an enquiry, and your consent in submitting it. We hold spam-prevention data because we have a legitimate interest in keeping the form usable. If you become a client, we hold project correspondence because we need it to perform the work you have engaged us for, and afterwards to meet record-keeping and tax obligations.
6. How long we keep it
Contact form messages are kept while your enquiry is open and for up to 24 months afterwards, so we can pick up a conversation you started last year. Spam-prevention records are automatically deleted after 24 hours. Client project records are kept for as long as the working relationship lasts, and then for the period our accounting and tax obligations require. You can ask us to delete your enquiry sooner and we will.
7. Who can see it
Contact form messages are stored in a private database on our hosting account and are readable only by our own team through a password-protected page. The list of people with access is limited to those who need it to answer you.
Two other parties are necessarily involved: our hosting provider, which operates the server the site and database run on, and our email provider, which delivers and stores our mail. Both act as service providers to us, not as owners of your data. We do not pass your information to anyone else unless the law requires it, or unless you ask us to introduce you to someone.
8. Where it is stored
The website, the database and our email are hosted on servers operated by our hosting and email providers. Because we work with clients in several countries, information you send may be stored or accessed in a country other than your own. Wherever it sits, the protections described in this policy apply to it.
9. How we protect it
The whole site is served over HTTPS, so anything you type into the form is encrypted in transit. The database is not reachable from the internet: only our own server-side code can query it, and every query uses prepared statements, which is the standard defence against database injection attacks. Our configuration file, which holds the database password, is stored outside the public web folder so it cannot be requested by a browser. The page that reads messages requires a long random key and is rate-limited against guessing. The site sets strict security headers that block it from being embedded in another site and prevent unauthorised scripts from running.
No system is perfect, and we will not claim otherwise. If a breach ever affected your data, we would tell you and any relevant authority promptly, describe what happened, and say what we were doing about it.
10. Your rights
Whatever country you are in, we will honour these on request:
- See it. Ask what we hold about you and we will send you a copy.
- Correct it. Tell us something is wrong and we will fix it.
- Delete it. Ask us to erase your enquiry and we will, unless we are legally required to keep a record.
- Object or restrict. Ask us to stop using your information in a particular way.
- Take it with you. Ask for your data in a portable file.
- Withdraw consent. Where you gave consent, you can take it back at any time.
Email contact@wizverge.com and we will respond within 30 days. We will not charge you for this, and we will not ask you to justify the request.
11. Children
This website is aimed at businesses, not children. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 16. If you believe a child has sent us their details, email us and we will delete them.
12. Links to other sites
Our social media buttons open Instagram, Facebook and LinkedIn. Once you leave this site, those companies' own privacy policies apply, not ours. We are not responsible for how another website handles your information.
13. Client projects
If you hire us, we may be given access to systems that hold data belonging to your own customers, such as your store's order records or your social accounts. In that situation you remain the owner of that data and we act only on your instructions. We access what is needed to do the work, keep it confidential, do not use it for anything else, and hand back or remove our access when the project ends. If your business needs a formal data processing agreement, ask and we will sign one.
14. Changes to this policy
If we change how we handle information, we will update this page and change the date at the top. If a change is significant and we hold your contact details, we will tell you directly rather than expecting you to notice.
15. Complaints
If you think we have mishandled your information, tell us first at contact@wizverge.com and we will try to put it right. You also have the right to complain to the data protection authority in your own country, and doing so does not affect any other right you have.
